Haiti Needs Help
Dear Medina County Residents,
I am sure you have heard of the
tragedy that took place in Haiti on Tuesday, January
12. A series of earthquakes have left Haiti in
ruins and with a devastating death count.
The International Federation of Red
Cross and Red Crescent Societies have released $1 million
to be used for immediate
response needs and are deploying teams to provide
humanitarian assistance and search and rescue
services. The Red Cross also provided blankets,
kitchen sets and water containers to help up to
5,000 families. Unfortunately, there are many more
survivors that need our help in this time of dire need.
You can help the victims of the Haiti
crisis by making a financial gift to the American Red
Cross International Response Fund. Your gift will
provide not only immediate, but long-term relief through
supplies, technical assistance and other support to help
those in need.
Please mail your gift to the American
Red Cross of Medina County at 704 N. Court St., Medina,
OH 44256. Donations to the International Response
Fund can be made by phone at 1-800-REDCROSS or online at www.redcross.org.
Sincerely,
Michael E. Kovack
