Three easy steps, and everything can be completed in the County Administration Building:

  NOTE: County offices are not able to create deeds, affidavits, or other documents. If you need
  assistance, a licensed attorney or title agency are your best options. The Auditor and Recorder only
  accept documents with original notarized signatures.


  1. Tax Maps - Room 116
    • Checks the “legal description” that must be included with a conveyance.
    • Please allow for a minimum of 30 minutes; more at peak times.

  2. Auditor's Office - Room 301

  3. Recorder's Office - Room 117

    • “Records” the document, making it a “public record.” This is a critical step in protecting ownership rights.
    • Collects a recording fee.
